Artist Statement

My interest in clay started to peak as a young competitor in the backyard mud pie contest. After chalking up numerous wins (worms—the secret ingredient), I graduated to Play Doh and finally, clay.

It was at this time, I found you could legitimately have a great time creating fun and functional "objects d'art" while getting as dirty as you please.

In 1977, I graduated with a Bechelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University. I have since joined the "real" world while still dabbling in fun and functional "objects d'art." Thus, another dirty old pot person is walking amongst you.
