May Show & Sale

The Canton Ceramic Artists Guild, an affiliate group of the Canton Museum of Art, holds the May Ceramic Show and Sale on the first Friday and Saturday in May every year that takes place inside the Wilkof Courtyard and lobby at the Canton Museum of Art.

A wide variety of handcrafted, decorative and functional pottery, clay sculpture and more are on display and available for purchase. All works are made by members of the Guild, and purchases at the show support ceramic education programs at the Museum.

The Guild members participate in the “Empty Bowls Against Hunger” program. Guild artists and community members create and donate unique bowls, which are sold during the show for a minimum donation, with all proceeds given to the Stark County Hunger Task Force. In recent years, the Guild has raised more than $1,000.00 annually through the “Empty Bowls” initiative.
