Art Educator of the Year Award

2022 Art and Music Educator of the Year Award Nomination

Third Art Educator of the Year & Sixth Annual Music Educator of the Year Awards

The Canton Museum of Art is happy to continue the partnership with the Massillon Museum and Canton Symphony Orchestra to celebrate our Art Educators in the region.  The purpose of the annual award is to promote a greater understanding of and appreciation for art and music education as well as to honor those individuals who are making a real difference in our community through their dedication to arts education.

Nominees must be licensed Art and Music Educators in a public, private or parochial school classroom setting in Grades K-12, in the region served by the Stark County Educational Service Center. Educators from all fields of Visual Arts and Music are eligible. The honored Educators will be selected from a field of ten finalists in each catagory chosen by a panel of qualified judges from the community. All nominees will be recognized during the Canton Symphony Orchestra concert and at a reception prior to the concert on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 7:30pm.  Winners of the awards will receive a $500 check.

Nominations must be submitted by January 6, 2022.
Anyone can nominate a music or art educator for the award. Former recipients of the award are not eligible to win in consecutive years.
