"GO BIG! WPA MURAL ARTISTS CELEBRATION"
Make the Canton Museum of Art your creative destination for a day off school. This event focuses on techniques for painting large-scale and creating collaborative, free-standing sculpture from discarded materials and loose parts. Celebrate the untold stories of diverse WPA mural artists in CMA's permanent collection and learn where to spot murals in the greater Stark County community. Visit the galleries and learn about the projects they worked on, the subjects they were interested in, and how their own lives were affected by the Great Depression. Each of these artists helped foster the nation's spirit and served as a uniting visual force to encourage people to look toward a brighter future.
Recommended for ages 5+. This is a FREE event but pre-registration is required: REGISTER NOW
