One Day Only! Artist Masterclass: Bringing Life to the Surface with Ceramist Jennifer Rosseter

Intermediate and advanced ceramics students are invited to learn directly from featured artist Jennifer Rosseter while her exhibition, Curious Beasts: A Ceramic Tale, is on display at the Canton Museum of Art. Students can expect a unique look into Rosseter's creative journey and explore her playful signature process of bringing pattern, layering, and texture to life on clay surfaces. Beginning with a simple slab of clay, Rosseter will demonstrate surface decoration techniques, show how to construct and utilize drop molds, and share insights on finding one’s personal voice and expression through ceramic art. The workshop focuses on thinking through techniques for energizing the surface, encouraging participants to refine their skills and complete projects independently. Prior to the workshop presentation, participants will tour the exhibit, Curious Beasts: A Ceramic Tale by Jennifer Rosseter.
