Ceramics Makerspace with Susan Mentrak | 6–8p | 10 Thursdays August 27 - October 29

Enhance your artistic skills within this collaborative Makerspace, created to encourage peer-to-peer inspiration and professional development. Whether you are crafting functional vessels or sculptural forms, Studio Classroom 103 functions as a flexible open studio with a professional artist-mentor to provide guidance tailored to your specific hand-building projects throughout the 10-week session. Please note that pottery wheels are unavailable during Makerspace Studio 103 hours to prioritize hand-building techniques; however, registration does include open studio access, beyond scheduled instruction hours, for extra time to construct multi-step projects, use specialized equipment (ex. slab roller) and manage the slow drying and firing stages required for clay. All participants must use CMA-purchased clay and approved glazes to ensure kiln safety and consistent firing results.
