Relax and enjoy friends, wine and fun while creating a personal masterpiece! Our artist will make painting easy and fun by instructing you step-by-step through re-creating this painting inspired by this Meiji period Japanese screen that was created to be used at tea gatherings. In Japan, gazing at the moon and listening to the sounds of insects have long been tranquil ways to spend an autumn evening. Seen from a low vantage point, the full moon illuminates the unseen world in a tangle of autumn grasses, where one lone cricket is highlighted in silhouette. Join us at the museum and have some fun while painting this tranquil autumn painting. Whether you are an aspiring artist or just looking to explore your creative side, you are sure to go home with a painting that is uniquely yours.
