Also known as 3D Illustration, bring your creativity to life through sculpture with artist Kat Francis! Gather inspiration from popular art, creatures, and characters and then design your own unique character on paper. Then use wire to create an armature skeleton to build off of to bring your drawing to life with sculpey clay. Instructions will be sent home on how to bake in the oven to harden.
Explore the unique process of printmaking like never before! Monoprinting is printmaking that creates images that are only made once, unlike most printmaking, which allows for multiple originals. Students will use printing plates to create original artworks inspired by the prints on display by Yuko Kimura. Through this fun and hands on class students will visit the galleries for inspiration and create a series of layered prints ready to frame!
What is your crowning achievement? Inspired by the exhibit Crowns: Crossing into Motherhood, create a custom crown fit for a King or a Queen celebrating you or a loved one! Choose from a variety of colors and fun materials and embellish as you like. Great to use as a decoration or to wear.
Inspired by the exhibit Creative Roots of Ohio create an Ohio shaped string art design or pick from one of our other shape templates like a star, heart, letters and more! Choose from a variety of colors of string and embellish as you like!

Families and students join together to create a watercolor painting on a card for that special person or occasion! Inspired by the miniature watercolor works on display by Alice Schille. Learn about her work and visit the galleries to see the small but mighty pieces, then go back to the classroom where each guest will work together and also create their own miniature watercolor paintings that will turn into a festive card or cards celebrating your favorite holiday or just because!

Calling all Moms! Who needs some me time, self-care, and appreciation? In this unique program, bring another parent/adult to hang out with your kids in the art classroom to create a heartfelt piece of artwork celebrating their appreciation and love all about you!
Get creative & choose from a variety of techniques to create a spooky or modern (painted and/or stenciled) pumpkins. Students will enjoy festive music and apple cider! Lots of supplies are available so that everyone can choose their designs at their leisure and explore several techniques. We will have stencils, paint, decals, cider and more. And of course, a pumpkin for everyone! Sizes will range around 5-15 pounds per pumpkin, limit one per person. Bring a friend or the whole family, adult & kid friendly!
Inspired by the exhibit, Through Darkness to Light: Photographs Along The Underground Railroad, learn about the history of ceramic face jugs (sometimes called "Ugly Jugs") and the important role they played along the Underground Railroad. Then create your own modern/ whimsical Ugly Jug --while learning additive and subtractive clay techniques. (Families will need to make arrangements to pick up fired pieces two-three weeks after workshop.)
