This beginner-friendly watercolor class offers a creative journey into the world of watercolors, focusing on essential techniques through playful experimentation mimicking the styles of famous female artists, such as Audrey Flack, Georgia O’Keefe, Judy Chicago, and Wendy Red Star. The curriculum covers diverse artistic styles, from abstract expressionism and still life, to traditional pattern-making and nostalgic Hollywood glamour. Students will develop fundamental watercolor skills, including color mixing, brushstrokes, and experimenting with wet-on-wet techniques, while encouraging individual artistic expression.
