Everywhere you look, color holds meaning. It evokes emotion, describes ideas, and conveys symbolism. Through creativity, students will create their own 2D art utilizing a variety of drawing and painting materials. Some of the projects include color theory, color symbolism, color science, and more! Discover the role of color in art and just how powerful colors can be.

Students will learn to build their fundamental artistic skills essential to any artist. Create unique 2D art projects using a variety of drawing and painting art materials. Visit the galleries to see famous ceramic pieces first hand, tour the ceramics lab and learn the process that clay goes through from beginning to end. Learn techniques for transforming polymer clay into your own miniature collection of these adorable cube-shaped animals. Instructions will be sent home on how to bake in the oven to harden.

Offering this one-time workshop in-person! Warm up this cold winter with a fun and relaxing night of art and gourmet hot chocolate. While sipping on a delectable treat, learn how to make a personalized drinking mug of your very own using stoneware clay and basic hand building techniques. All levels of experience are welcome. Students will need to make arrangements to pick up fired pieces two-four weeks after workshop and will be emailed when ready.

Join our instructor and glass artist, Laurie Turner, for a fun day learning the basics of stained glass using lead came and assembly and soldering techniques to create this beautiful beveled glass snowflake perfect for a large suncatcher to capture the winter sun or as a beautiful display piece.
