FAMILY ART-MAKING WORKSHOP --- MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 2026 FROM 11:00AM TO 3:00PM

School = CLOSED … Family Art Event = OPEN!!!

Drop by the museum on Monday, January 19 from 11am to 3pm and create something fun together at our  "School's Out! FREE Monday" event!

This laid-back studio experience encourages family fun through creative exploration at various art stations in the Museum’s studio classroom. Art activities are inspired by CMA's exhibit, "Shattered Glass: Women Who Elevated American Art," and encourage artists of all levels to explore and create imaginative artwork to take home.

Featured Art Projects:

  • Identity Collage: Explore themes of self and identity through mixed-media collage.

  • Suncatcher: Create a light-catching message using gel paint and pre-formed shapes.

  • Reclaimed Art Materials: Experiment with transforming everyday materials into wrapped fiber art sculptures.

  • Paper Sculpture: Learn folding techniques to create your three-dimensional story out of paper.

This is a FREE event!
