This six-week acrylic painting course introduces students to the fundamentals of acrylic painting through a series of guided exercises and finished projects. Students will learn how to confidently use acrylic paint while developing an understanding of color theory, value, composition, brush techniques, and layering. Acrylic is a versatile and forgiving medium, making it ideal for beginners while still offering opportunities for more experienced artists to strengthen their skills. Throughout the course, students will complete several small studies and one to two finished paintings. Each class begins with a live demonstration followed by guided instruction, studio work, and individualized feedback. Some drawing familiarity is helpful but not required. All materials provided; all skill levels welcome. Ages 16+
