Drawing from the dynamic rhythm of the Canton Museum of Art’s Good Times: The Artistic Journey of Ernie Barnes exhibition, students will explore neo-mannerism—a style using dramatic elongation and graceful distortion to convey movement and emotion. Through hand-building fundamentals like slab and coil construction, you will use subtractive carving to create fluid, expressive figures that capture the spirit of jazz. All skill levels welcome; all materials provided. For maturing artists, ages 10-13
