Alpha-Romeo-Tango (A.R.T.) Program for Veterans

Join our supportive creative community at the Canton Museum of Art. The A.R.T. program is exclusively for U.S. veterans, active-duty service members, and National Guard or Reserve personnel, offering creative outlets to foster well-being, connection, and self-expression.

What We Offer:

• Guitar Classes (10-Week Series): Led by instructor Denny Vlahos (Fretz4Vets) at the Canton Museum of Art (Wilkof Courtyard). This beginner’s acoustic guitar course in basic technique will introduce various styles of music; such as blues, folk, and jazz led with a focus on music appreciation and social engagement in a small group setting.

  • Schedule: 10 Thursdays, 6–8p | August 27, September 3, 10, 17, 24 and October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29. 

Program Benefits & Enrollment:

• Cost: Classes are free for verified veterans, active-duty personnel and first responders.

• Included in Guitar series: Guitar and accessories, coursebook and 1-on-1 instruction.

• Family Inclusion: Spouses are welcome to join for a nominal fee. Scholarships are available—please inquire with Amanda Crowe at amanda@cantonart.org.

• Priority: Veterans always receive priority on our waitlist.
