Learn creative techniques for drawing, painting, and printmaking. Masterpieces from the Museum collection and Art History will motivate students to experiment with pencil, charcoal, colored pencils, inks, watercolor paint, tempera paint, acrylic paint, printmaking and more. Now offering this NEW one time workshop online! Inspired by the exhibit, "Tomorrow...An Unknown Quantity: The Work of Lee Kessler", learn about how WWII became the golden age of aircraft artistry as well as Kessler's artwork including aircraft art. Then learn about aerodynamics and paper folding techniques to make the perfect aircraft, test out your hypothesis, and compete with other class mates to see who's plane can fly the furthest!

Now offering this six week course online! Do you love to draw and want to improve your skills? This class is for you! Students enrolled in this course will learn fundamental drawing techniques from observation and other sources, using a variety of materials such as charcoal, pencil, graphite, and pastels. Learn how to use value, perspective, shading, line, texture and more!

*Materials and tools provided for pickup 4 days prior to class. Tools are to be returned to the museum within one week after class.

Now offering this six week course online! Interact with artist Katy Frick and fellow students through this fun hands on class. Learn basic techniques on how to draw Japanese Anime character stylization and create your own original characters. Time will be allotted to work during class offering one on one attention with real time instructor help and feedback. Students will study the basics of human anatomy and how to adjust the proportions to create illustrations with this unique art form using a variety of basic art materials.
