CMA Uncorked Matisse Cut-Outs

Begins 12/31/1969, Ends 12/31/1969

1 , 07:00 PM-07:00 PM

Relax and enjoy friends, wine and fun while creating a personal masterpiece! Our artist will make painting easy and fun by instructing you step-by-step through re-creating this painting inspired by Henri Matisse’s paper cuts. In the late 1940s, Henri Matisse turned almost exclusively to cut paper and scissors introducing a radically new technique that came to be called a cut-out. Matisse would cut painted sheets of paper into forms of varying shapes and sizes which he then arranged into beautiful compositions.
