Acrylic Painting Workshop: Students will learn the basics of acrylic painting. This medium is versatile and easy to use. The class is suitable for both beginners and more experienced students. The instructor provides a comfortable, fun, nurturing, and welcoming experience. Participants will create one piece working from examples the instructor provides. All materials provided; all skill levels welcome. Ages 16+; 8 seats available.
Movement in art refers to the way an artist creates a sense of motion or guides the viewer’s eye across a composition. This can be achieved through a variety of visual elements, including line, color, rhythm, and repetition. Even in a completely still image, artists can suggest action—whether it’s the swirl of wind or the gesture of a figure. Movement helps bring energy to a work of art, preventing it from feeling static and instead making it feel alive and dynamic.
This digital photography course teaches students to move beyond auto mode and take well-composed images that reflect their personal vision. Topics include camera operation, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, lighting and composition. *Please bring a digital camera with a manual mode and a card reader. All experience levels are welcome. Ages 16+; 10 seats available.
