Large-Scale Handbuilding with Susan Mentrak

Ceramic artist, Susan Mentrak, will demonstrate her unique approach to building large-scale coil vessels and creating textured surface decoration. Students will complete one large coiled vessel during this 5-part series. Designed for students who have completed one ceramics class and/or are familiar with the basic techniques of working with clay.

In conjunction with the Art for Health & Healing Program, the Canton Museum of Art welcomes you to a special mindfulness workshop that focuses on slowing down, relieving stress, and learning to use creativity to increase awareness of self and be present in the moment. Join our Art for Health & Healing Program Coordinator, Dianne Papes, as she directs you through the intuitive process of creating a mandala using watercolor techniques. Mandala's have been found throughout the centuries.
