Imagination Station is designed for the dreamer in mind! Do you like to create extraordinary make-believe worlds, imagine fantastical stories, or turn ordinary things into new exciting creations? Students will learn about the Museum's collection & Art History. They will then create a variety of 2D and 3D masterpieces with a range of art materials. The only limit --being your own imagination!
Art FUNdamentals will allow students to build their fundamental artistic skills essential to any artist. By visiting the Museum Galleries they learning about famous artwork & create unique art projects while using a variety of drawing/painting materials. Lessons are changed every session as our experienced, certified instructors can work with student and see them grow! Be sure to sign up for multiple classes!
Parents & Toddlers are invited to join the CMA for a special- Art Play Date! Creep, crawl, slither and create during this tactile Art Play Date. Toddlers will use their bodies & get their hands dirty with a variety of art materials creating fun creepy crawly creatures!
Drop your brushes and forget about over-blending by utilizing an overlooked piece of painting equipment the Palette Knife. Create a finished painting by working from a still-life, using only a palette knife. If you love texture, thick paint, and expressive mark-making, then sign-up today! Classic Oil Painting-Intermediate will teach the Flemish technique in this unique class. Whether you are an experienced oil painter wanting to learn a new style of painting, or are wanting to learn a new medium by an acclaimed artist --this class is for you! Class participants will experience painting while emphasizing the Flemish painting techniques. Have fun & relieve stress while you learn a new way to create art! Intro to needle felting class will allow you to make decorative felt pumpkins for the fall. Use orange, white, black or your imagination! Each person will complete 3 pumpkins in a variety of sizes.
Explore the versatility of watercolor painting at the CMA! Beginners will be learn basic painting techniques. More experienced students will be able to work independently with feedback from the instructor.
